Spring Clean Week - 17th to 25th March 2012
UPDATE 2ND APRIL 2012
We would like to thank everyone very much for their contribution to Spring Clean week. It was great to see so many individuals and groups willing to get involved and show their pride in our lovely town. It was also encouraging to get positive coverage for the town in the Cornish Guardian.
We are now following up issues raised regarding dog bins, litter bins and road signage with Cornwall Council and will keep you informed of any progress.
We hope that Spring
Clean can become an annual event so if you have more ideas or would
like to get involved again please do let us know!
Once again many thanks,
Caroline, Helen and Lindsay
A week in spring for Lostwithiel people to pull together to help
spruce up our environment. Examples of various aspects of the town
that could be improved are shown in these
photographs.
The Spring Clean can include individuals, neighbourhoods, businesses and organisations.Although ideas will be suggested the community will be encouraged to generate its own ideas. Spring Clean projects can range from tiny, no-cost ideas (e.g. clean windows or sweep the street in front of your house) to more ambitious schemes. The idea is that there is nothing too small and there can be something for everyone.
We aim to involve local organisations and businesses to contribute by
offering assistance or resources.

background information
The week is being organised by Lostwithiel Forum under the umbrella of Cornwall Council's Clean Cornwall Week Activities carried out in Lostwithiel will be covered by Cornwall Council's Insurance policy and are being conducted in accordance with the Council's guidelines and Risk Assessment criteria.
